Default Converting 95 TA auto to 6spd. Harness,ECU needed?

I'm going to convert my 95 TA to a 6spd but I need to know if the ecu and engine harness are the same. The parts car is a 97 Camaro Z28. Thanks

I did it in a weekend pretty much by myself. You can use your stock harness and computer, you have to change some pigtails to plug the trans in. Also you're gonna need to Reflash your computer.

You can use all the same stuff. You shouldn't have to rewire anything, just tuck the A4 harness connector out of the way.

You don't HAVE to reflash the computer because the car will drive just fine - you'd just get trans codes (which if you wanted you could have programmed out).

I also have the 6spd computer, so I can just swap it in as well or will the mileag be thrown off?

Soit will drive fine but will it set off the check engine light (trouble codes)? Thanks

If you don't Reflash the computer, you will notice one bug flaw... Your speedometer will be wayyyyyyy off. I drove mine until my mail order tune arrived and when I was driving about 55mph it said 150mph lol. Not sure about swapping to a different computer tho.

this is the link i used, it was damn near perfectly laid out for someone to do step by step.

***just remember to put the clutch and bellhousing on the motor than bolt the transmission to that***

I followed the exact link when I did my swap. Added a few wires for the starter switch, reverse lockout and reverse lights and tucked the 4L60 plug up with the rest of the factory harness.

It is very easy, all the wires you need are in the harness. The computer will need to be flashed, or you can just get a 94-95 M6 computer and there will be no issues. Mileage is stored in the cluster anyways. I did mine in a day. The hardest part was the pedals and drilling a hole for the master.
