Sbc oil pans and lt1?
Will any sbc pan work on an lt1? Reason I ask is, I have an aftermarket pan I bought in a parts lot.. And not sure if it's for an lt1 or sbc ... It was supposed to be for an lt1 ..it's an 8" deep moroso .

The only differences that I'm aware of, with SBC oil pans, is A) there's a difference somewhere back in the 80s, where the radius of the front and rear "dips" in the pan were changed, and are a little different than later pans, and use a different seal, and B) the LT1 pan (and some of the other, late pans) have provisions for the oil level sensor.

as long as its a 1 piece rear seal and the dipstick is on pass side it will fit motor . but ya gonna need a pickup for the pump meant for the pan and make sure it clears the chassis your puttin it in .

I am not positive, but if it's going on a 4th gen f-boday I think you may run into k-member issues. I don't think a traditional pan will clear. I think I've read where people have banged on it a bit to make it clear. Not completely sure.
