Question catted y pipe cutout question

ive decied to just spend the cash and get headers, i have to have a catted y pipe, so is there still a way i can have my cutout before my cats? or wll it have to go after them leading into the I pipe?

depends if you have visual inspection or not in your state? of course they can go before the cat anywhere on the Y but if "they" look at your car and see that = fail.

is the sound difference that significant having cutout before comapred to after the cats?

Ehh yes. The cat acts like mini muffler. Still better than no cut out it's really to each their own.

Anybody have any sound clips of after cats compared to before cats, this is going to effect my set up greatly

So does your state take mirrors to your car and look? Even so sometimes you'll get lucky if they still see the cats their they wont care.

It's not the same engine and bla bla bla w/e bull others may say but here's a thread i came across on my cut out search about how disappointed someone was on putting the cutout after the cat on the new camaro. Do it before the cat if you can and just keep the stock or w/e exhaust you're currently running would be best imo.
