Default How do I know if it is an LT1 or LT4 KM?

I have a 94 PCM that I got from someone else and had socketed by Madtuner. It wasnt really a concern before because I wasnt pulling any knock but now I am getting ready to do this 383 build and I wanted to figure out whether or not I have an LT4 KM or not because if I don't I think I am going to get one...if I do then cool, but I don't want to buy one if I already have one.

Like I said, I wasnt pulling any knock before with the 411 RWHP build so I am pretty sure I DO have one, but I don't know how to look at this one and tell whether it is an LT1 or LT4.

Anyone on here know how to differentiate between the two?

a 1 minute search on shoebox's website came up with this:

The two numbers stamped on the module itself.....

LT4 module: 16214681 & 1688307

LT1 module: 16177700 & 1054340

I have:

16214661
and
1666260

I would assume that since the first number of mine and the LT4 number on shbox.com are so close, that this is an LT4...thanks!

good ole shoebox

yeah i would assume the same thing as well. It says the 16214681 is the part # for the LT4. I dont understand why a part number would change like that if its the same thing. i dont get it....

Maybe yours doesn't match either because your car is a 97? Don't know if there were different knock modules from year to year.

The LT4 module should be one number. Stock LT1 KM numbers may differ over the years.

Thats what i was thinking after i posted. there was only one year for the LT4 so i dont think the number would change. so im thinking now he doesnt have an LT4 module based on that.
