I looked up the value of mine just for the heck of it. 97 Formula in pretty good shape, runs great, 95,xxx miles. Private party value was $2,800. I would light the thing on fire before I sold it for that. I want an M6 eventually, might end up being more cost effective to swap it.

Just curious, what car guide were you using? I ran mine on kelly Blue Book, and private party value, in excellent condition is $7115, which I would say mine falls under that category. Even at 'good' condition, which it definitely is, its still $6715. I upped my mileage to 95k to see and it still comes in at $6k? Im guessing your using some sort of auto auction guide. Your car is worth way more than $2800 imo.

Around here everyone is all on LS1's nuts so you can still pick up LT1s pretty cheap. I got a very well maintained 95 M6 Z28 Convertible for 4500. And the paint is even good on it. Everything works. Interior is like a 7 out of 10. But you cant touch ls1's for less than 7k hardly.

Its a rare red factory seats and door panels, kenwood touch screen, kee audio prem. speaker kit, 17x11's zr1's new nitto 315's on the rear, bmr everything except a arms, and k member, heads , cam, built 4l60e with yank ss4k, longtubes, borla cat back... with no dings, dents or faded paint.... car gets washed, clay bared, waxed, and put away... I got nothing or even interest..

It could be the red. A lot of people don't like red. Just put it in the garage for a few years.
I got mine cheap a few years ago needing an opti. The guy didn't know how to fix it. I changed the opti and drove around in it for awhile before I started doing mods. Just noticing there are fewer and fewer of those deals.
Anyway, I know the LT1 well now, having rebuilt it and everything. It used to be a difficult engine to diagnose but nothing about it scares me anymore. Mine runs really nice. Still a great deal for a fast car.

I think the nice LT1 cars are finally steadying. There will always be the super cheap 2000 auto z28 with a million miles and cloth interior.
Your high option, leather, M6 cars that still shine are hovering around 5-6.
At this point Ill have mine forever. I have put too much work into it and had tons of memories.
