Intake Question
Can somebody tell me what this connector is for.
On this diagram of the Throttle Body
lower drivers side(lower right on the picture) you see a connector going out at approx a 45 degree angle to the intake. I am wondering what that is for is there suppose to be a hose connected to it? On my car it is just open to air.
Thanks!!!!

Thats the coolant passage, you probably have a open barbed fitting under the TPS you can't see. Many people bypass the coolant to the TB to keep it from heating up durrig the summer, it's one of those "free mods" that's questionable as to whether it's worth doing. Look up TB coolant bypass for more info.

It's worth doing on principle alone. I HATE dealing with coolant. Hate the smell, hate how greasy my hands become after being exposed. Hated having to remove the lines from the TB to take the intake manifold off. There's no reason not to do it unless you live in an arctic zone.

Only reason I would consider not to, as just said, would be if the car was being driven in freezing temps a lot of the year.

Have driven with the TB bypassed down to -23f without a problem.
A friend has said he had a little sticking in cold weather but I suspect his has to do more with the BBK TB.
Freezing would if anything be more likely in low 30degree weather with rain or fog, the pressure drop across the TB could cause a temp drop in the air, condensation and freezing. But again I never had that problem either.
Daily drove these things for over 10 years, TB bypass was always done right away when I got a car because if nothing else it makes putting the TB back on much easier after you remove it to clean it as maintenance.

I completely agree about it making it easier to remove the TB, I've done it to my car because I can't stand coolant myself and it's one less place to have to mess with it! I should have clarified it's not going to be a mod that your going to notice a significant power increase. It will keep coolant from heating up the TB so it'll help keep your IAT down. There's always those who thing certain simple things like this are going to net huge performance gains. FWIW it's not going to hurt your car!
