95 z28 with heat coming from behind the center of dash and console area i think this is the deverter flap being stuck or broke how do i fix this problem?

Does it blow out the defroster vent too? And does it blow there regardless of where you set the ***? If so it sounds like the HVAC controls lost vacuum, a common place for this to happen is the little vacuum tee under the hood, passenger side, near the AC evaporator box. But check any of the small vacuum lines you can see. If it blows hot air even if you turn the **** all the way to cold then the blend door is probably not moving, there is a cable running from the HVAC control box to the blend door, you can unhook it right under the blend door behind the glove box and try to move the blend door manually to see it it moves.
