my dad has a 95 Trans am 6spd car that has been acting funny. usually it will run ok... run like crap for a bit and almost cut out which triggers the SES light to come on at which point the car runs fine. odd huh?

here are the codes it's thrown:
83 Torgue converter quad driver module
(what has this got to do with a str8 drive car?)
16 low resolution pulse failure
36 high resolution pulse failure

what do these mean and why might they be bounced?

36 and 16 both deal with the opti. Dirty sensor bad harness or bad opti. And I think 83 has to do with skip shift. Not sure though.
