I did some more hacking of the support from underneath, basically took out any of the supporting braces and trimmed the front and sides so that now it lays down flat on the radiator support. Got the hood to close, by raising the hood latch to it's maximum height setting, so i have a little bit of height as 1badzee, but it doesn't look too bad.

Now the last issue I'm trying to figure out. How the hell does this happen? I can't see it hitting anything underneath and when I push down on it, it goes down, just doesn't stay down....

I dont know if its good or not, but i run the stock trans am hood and a MTI ls1 lid. I dont even have screws holding the lid down, the hood does that. It hits but i just view it as a "good seal".

Did you adjust the bumpers that screw down? They're black rubber pieces 1 on each side That might help... Btw I'm back in arlington heights till at least the end of November. If you need any help working on the car just shoot me a text. I might pick your brain about the 24x conversion

There a total of 4 of those stops and they are all down where they need to be, I think the hood is hitting the passenger side front corner of the lid (since I've been cutting away at the hood, there is dust residue on the lid except in that front corner where it's rubbed off. Looks like the lid/support needs to come down more in that corner.

on the 24x stuff, feel free to ask away in the thread I started so that others can benefit too. I need to make some updates on that thread over the next few weeks. I want to create a spreadsheet that you can pick your year/harness and match it up to exactly what you need to do to make it easy for everyone. hope that makes sense

Sorry for the late response, but here is a pic I snapped for you today of where I trimmed the hood. You should be able to trim the support enough to where you BARELY have to move the hood latch up. Mine looks pretty normal. Hope this helps

hmmm, i didn't cut down the rails at all. I just cleared the front side. Looking underneath, I didn't think it would make contact there. As you can see on my driver side it's fine, it's just the passenger side hitting something I haven't found yet.
