Default Time for a change behind the 398 lt1....

So after all the money I have into my six speed, it is now time for a change. I plan on doing some serious racing next seasoning and with the HP level I am at, I am moving on to something I have wanted to do for awhile. I got a deal I couldn't pass up. It's rossler 350 with a brake and thick sfi bell and mvb. Also picked up a serious 4" driveshaft to go with it. Game time.....

So I will probably end up selling my trans, RAM clutch and flywheel with 40 miles on it, mcleod sfi bell with 40 miles on it, and peddles and hydraulics. Got a lot of money in that set up. Just felt I needed to do it.

Yeah it is pretty much new and considering who I got it from I know it was done right. I am gonna have it gone through and freshened up as it has 30 passes on it bit all in a 2600 lbs car. It has every option you can have on it.

My slow turd ain't fast. It just looks like it. Haha.

When I figure out if I'm going to sell it as a package deal or split it up I will let you know.

I've got a lot of pm's on the t56 trans. Here is a better pic of it.

nice trans. both of them, looks like every one is stepping up their game this time around... I guess I finally decided to bite the bullet at the right time as far as competitiveness.

Thanks. Yeah it seems everyone is stepping up their game. Good times. I love the six speed but to be perfectly honest, I have a 8mm tear in my right rotator and shifting gears isn't fun and it kills me after being in the car for a short time. It was a hard decision to go this route and give up the t56. Whoever ends up with it is going to love it. It really is killing me to let it go. In the end it is my best option.

Youll love the new trans!!! My car finally does wheelies!!!! lol
Now if I could stop breaking **** and just get a clean pass for once!!!!!
Trans was Super easy to swap in also, if ya have any questions just ask. The one thing I did was use a thin B&M shifter cable, made setting up the shifter 1000000000x easier. The thick one just kept binding

What cable did you use? I think I'm going with the B&M stealth pro ratchet shifter. It says it comes with a cable and brackets. Is the cable that comes with it the one you used? I'm pretty pumped on getting it the car as well as the rearend and unleash hell on it.

The t56 is sold. Gone..... The entire set up.

I have to run the numbers with my trans guy about the stall. I am going with a Neal Chance though.

Was your t56 faceplated or what all had you done to it upgrade wise and how did you like the way it shifted before you sold it?

That Lokar dipstick you have sucks. It is a royal pain in the *** to fill the transmission with it, and it technically isn't legal since the cap doesn't lock. It will take 10 minutes for 1/2 quart of atf to go into the tranny. Your arms will go numb holding it out. Madman sells a th350/400 dipstick for f-bods that looks factory stock and works great.

It was nothing special. 93 t56, gone through and checked out. It shifted great. Handled whatever I through at it. Never once a hiccup or grind. The gear ratios were different in it. Worked well in my set ups.

Yeah I know all about the dipstick. It is what came with it. Got all winter to decide what I am gonna do and get the thing in the car.

I have the same shifter your getting and ditched the fat *** cable that came with it. Ill get you the part number for the one I used. Actually I picked it up at Pep Boys, and have seen them at Oriellys as well. It basically the same cable but thinner.

As for the dip stick I went with the Madman piece and it worked great!
