Good to see some updates on your progress i have to wait untill i bring my car out of storage to start the swap. Post more pics if possible to help alot of us other members when we get around to doing it! I got a used kit and harness but the harness has been cutout of the car. Atleast the wires are pinned so i just have to copy everything going into the PCM and add in the cps wiring and look at the Cxxx connectors if they have to be changed up.

Well i got it almost done. I was trying to get the cam sprocket on and then it started raining. I was having trouble getting on on too, the water pump drive gear wasnt wanting to line up at all.

It wasn't to long it was short enough.

When i get the harness done and send the pcm off for a mail order tune at speed inc. It was pretty easy only problems i had were not having proper tools(hub installer, puller, ext) and getting the key out. Other than that it went really smooth.

mine went smooth when i did it except the crank recular wheel needed to get a lil laythed off because the recular wheel and the crank sensor wasnt lined up. i talked to efi and they said its diffrent for each crank. and my driver engine mount was in the way for the driver side knock sensor so i had to trim the mount down a lil..

Looking good man! I too am very antsy about getting my kit in im just not lucky as you guys to either have no snow or local storage to work on it. Have to wait till spring to bring it out of storage so i can my butt to work. Im going to try and find a cheap harness to try and see if i can do it on my own before i have to send it out if i get totally lost. Use that guide that Merim posted about the re-pin as im sure it will come in VERY handy when you start it!

Why are you putting a knock sensor on the drivers side? It requires just replacing the ones in the passenger side with the proper 96-97 knock sensor.
