Default starting question
i havea 96 trans am and the car had a tune up and the shop told me that rear main seal was leaking so i just park it a while ago. And i went to go start the car and the car crank but does not fire. any idea why it wont start? it is a 96 trans am ws6

Could literally be a hundred different things. More info is needed...did the car start prior to the tune up? What was done to it? Any mods? Etc.

More info the better, otherwise we have nothing to go on.

ya the car ran fine. i just stop drive it cuz the rear main was leaking so i stop driving it for a long time. and now i went to start it and it cranks but doesnt run.

Is the battery good? Are you getting full cranking power? Could be a faulty check valve in your fuel pump combined with a weak battery.............

Check fuel pressure at the schrader valve on the fuel rail to make sure your getting proper fuel pressure. ~42 psi I think is correct, someone will chime in with the exact #.

If that checks out good, make sure your getting spark at both the coil and plugs.

You need air, fuel, and ignition.
If the car cranks fine then you should have air.
Check your fuel pressure. Leaving the car in standby will kill your fuel pump, are you getting any whine?
Is there any spark at all? Does it fire?
