Platinum and iridium reduce gap erosion making the service life of a plug longer, but in a performance application you are going to change them before you would see that benefit.

My truck and the wife's car get Delco platinums every 80-100K, the car gets NGK or Autolite standard $2 plugs maybe once or twice a year.

i like to use flame throwers for each cylinder tied into the stock fuel hoses. Gas mileage really went down, and you dont want to know what happens when something doesnt go as planned, seems like i go through a hood and a wireing hareness each week. But she runs good...compared to my 1984 blazer with home made displacement on demand..its never good to put spark plugs on a toggle switch...down know why though.

Nice. What heat range is this? I need one the next lower than stock heat range.

I don't think my NGK irridiums are liking the 11.6 CR.

I used to run the tr55ix ones in my 12.5:1 engine. No issues. It did have better throttle response but that's about it. For the price though not worth it. Figured I would try them though. Now the new set up there is no way with n20. Cheapos for this guy now.

Ok Ok Ok I am a believer now, So after seeing this post I bought a set of NGK.s, bear in mind it took the better part of 2 hours to change the plugs (Block huger headers). now this is where it gets interesting, as soon as I started it I could tell a difference. then a drive confirmed the prognosis. BOSH PLATINUM PLUGS SUCK
Thanks for the heads up info
