42#s will allow you some room to grow. I run 42#s in my motor with a similarly-sized cam.

The 30´s are the biggest that you should run (N/A). 24´s would probably be faster if you crank the fuel pressure up a little. The idea that you ¨grow¨into injectors is dumb. Any motor requires X amount of fuel. Upgrade the injectors when you build more motor (a lot more motor N/A).

Very interesting point there. So, will the 30#'s still be good for a 383 motor N/A?

Only one person in this thread up to to now has given you the right advice. GIZMO has it right.
I make 425 SAE with 30 lb SVO's, stock fuel pressure, plenty of headroom. It has nothing to do with how high you spin it.
If your 200 shot will be a wet kit, the 30 lb injectors you already have are what you should stay with.

Yes, we're making over 500 rwhp NA over here with 30 lb SVO's.

I'm having a hard time with this in my head. Can you explain how smaller injectors make the car faster? Only thing I can come up with is something was missing in the tune for the bigger ones.

yes because the spray pattern is better with the properly sized injector. Check through gizmos threads when the switched to a smaller injector and pick up a tenth or two

If that is the case, our stock injectors and SVO 30s are both ancient designs. A bigger, newer injector would atomize better even at 1/2 the pulse width plus have a much better chance of getting all of the fuel in while the intake valve is open.

One rule of thumb suggestion for minimum injector size is to multiply projected flywheel HP X .07.
