Default What do I do for tail pipes?

So I've got the LT1 Magnaflow catback, and don't want to use the tips (hate that style). Short of having a muffler shop make the tail pipes for me, are there any pipes available that will route the exhaust to the back bumper? I like the look of no tips, and prefer nothing to be showing.

All I can find are OEM style/size tail pipes by Walker.. they are 2 1/4" I believe. The outlets on the Magnaflow muffler are 2.5".

What can I do? What are you guys doing?

Hmmm... these say they're for 3rd gens but should fit right? Besides the hangers... Wow 35 bucks for a plain POS pipe. I'm all ears for a better alternative...

Walker # 43243 and 43244

just go to a local muffler shop and have them make something that youre looking for. If you like the looks of no tips, id personally sell the magnaflow and dump them before the axle.

A pair of 90deg bends and a pair of turn downs is all you need - a good muffler shop can put it all together and fab the hangers

I hate the look of tips out the back too and I had a local shop just dump my bullet muffler just before the back axle, cost me like 30 bucks. Also if I were you I would get a different muffler but that is just my .02 cents I like the sound of the bullet but it is too aggressive for some people.

I had mine made a local muffler shop, it was cheaper than anything else I could find.

20 dollar muffler from summit and a quick trip to an exhaust shop... 50 dollars for a free flowing muffler and any tip you decide you want to slap onto it.

Well a bullet muffler on my car is DEAFENING, lol.. forged 383 with a CC306 cam. I had true duals with 2x spintech bullets and it was just ridiculous to say the least.

So I'm running the full catback with E cutout now to tone it down as much as possible and just open the cutout for go-time... The Magnaflow was priced right and seemed like one of the quietest out there while still sounding really good.

Unless there's something MUCH quieter out there that still flows decent I don't know about?

stock cat back+cut outs for sleeper ish?

idk about anyone else but I've had my magnaflow for a few years and it's gotten a little louder, at first it was quieter than stock. now it is a decent sound that doesnt drive me nuts like my bullet muffler I throw on from time to time.

This. I just did this last week and honestly I love it. You can barely tell my car is cammed when its going through the stock mufflers. I pulled a muffler off of a 2000 Z28 at the junkyard.

This is pretty quiet for LT's no cat and 3" piping w/cutout.

That Borla was pretty quiet, sounded nice!

The stock muffler would be a good idea, but I need it to work with the 3" pipe =/

Kind of expensive for a muffler but performs well. High 11's with mods in sig. A little bit lower with cutout open.

So I just went the easy route and got all the pipes from the auto parts store. I didn't think they would have what I needed, but I can make it work. It's all 2.5", I got 2 90 degree bends, 2 24" sections of straight pipe, and 2 turn downs. This way I can get it how I want it myself and tuck it up nice so the pipes don't show out the back, and also get as much of the noise as far away as possible. Just gotta figure out how to hang them, but worst case scenario I'll have a muffler shop tack some hangers on. Sucks that it's not stainless and mandrel bent like the rest of the exhaust, but I'm finally getting it all done
