Default Where to cut Harness from My 95 Bird for my Camaro Harness?

Just like the title says, getting the bird ready for paint and my drivetrain swap, and hoping someone can save me alot of time and hastle and let me know if im gonna be hacking it in the right spot.. Ill post pics...its a 95 firebird 6speed with a 02 ws6 conversion(was a ceta clone) anyway do I cut where I have the tape and everything pulled back? Im putting the drivetrain and pcm and engine harness out of my 94 z auto in it... I was confused because the what I believe is the Headlight plug in harness, and headlight vaccuum hose??? just wanna be sure before I cut it!! any help would be great, ive never messed with wireing harnesses before!!

There are a few connectors u need to change u need a terminal removal tool but it will be a lot less trouble if u just find a z28 harness tha same year as your car

I wouldn't cut anything, either. The conversion work was apparently already done on the donor car, so that is the wiring you need. You won't be using your current harness.

The headlight harness and engine harness are two different harnesses and do not need to be switched.

I forgot what year the other car was.

To remove the engine harness unplug both of the plugs like you have on the fender well. Go inside the car on the passenger side, remove the Door seal trim panel, remove the plastic panels below the glove box. Get a light you should see where the engine harness comes in the car. Follow it and unlug 4 plugs:

Blue plug
White plug
Black plug
small black plug on heater box

After these are unplugged you can go back to the engine bay and push out the rubber seal grommet and gently pull the harness out

Just pull the harness properly, stop being lazy.

they will swap, you might have to switch a couple wires around in the car, compare the plugs that are inside the car.

Other then that do what I said and your good.

Do you not read posts? Read #7. The headlight harnesses are completely different have have nothing to do with the engine harness and do not need to be switched.

You can cut them if you want, your just wasting time considering the one that is in the car will work fine.
