Ended up spending a little more time on the lifters that i planned, i have .017-.020" travel in all of them, ended up taking ~.140" of shims. Got one head mounted, measured pushrod length (7.150) and got pushrods ordered from smith bros. Only had to clearance the very top of the head, directly underneath the guideplates, for the 3/8" pushrods. Anyway i tore 3 teflon valve seals on the same valve before finally getting the right technique

It lives! Got it registered w/ a sneaky emissions exemption and I've been driving it around for the last two weeks. I think the stealth ram and new cam are working just fine when it wants 15% fuel added above 3600 rpm over my old LT4 intake/244° cam tune 
Shimmed lifters really aren't too noisy, but more so than the usual RR noise. Idles at 980 in gear at ~83kpa with 33° timing.

Went for a drive tonight to do some WOT logging, first hit it breaks up BAD at 4000 or so. New set of MSDs on order, had a junk set of 7mm autozone wires on it, 7mm coil wire is about 3' long which isn't helping either. Got a billet head bracket for the HVC II coil to use a regular 10" coil wire with probably 1/100 the resistance. Haven't had an EMI issue with the DFI under the dash so this should help. Putting a -7 plug back in it for NA tuning, I'll get another set of -9s for the citrus hits

Here's the thermal dispersant coating on the exterior of the HSR. underside, gasket surfaces, and runners have the greenish/gold thermal barrier. Base and plenum measure less than 100 degrees after a long drive!!
Also the Z in it's new home, put outlets everywhere and a 6 ga 220v as well. just insulated and drywalled it today

that's nice for your stock shortblock motor, but i run high oil/water temps and cruise over 3000 rpm with a filled block. This is a night and day difference on my motor

I'll get vids hopefully Friday if my parts show up. Yea my parents have a big fully insulated garage and it stayed 45+ all winter with no heat. I have an A/C unit sitting here for this summer, gonna blow in 16" of insulation above the garage as well. Just did the garage door (west facing) today with 1.5" foam panels and that seems like it made a big difference. It's still low-mid 20s at night right now.
Its at .034" right now, might go down to .028. I've heard some go down to .020 and pick up on NA BBCs with digital 7 boxes. I have a little 6A

Good input thanks. I'm around 13.2 compression now but with all the fuel and poopy plug wires i think there's power there.

no idea off the top of my head, but i can get you some measurements and you can dust off your geometry skills!
On a side note, misfire is gone after coil relocation and new fancy plug wires. Old 7mm coil wire had over 4.3k ohms resistance
new one has about 90 Pulls strong up to 7400, 1-2 shift dropped 7400 -> 6050, but only have 30° of timing in it so it could be down 30-40 ft-lbs there. Still running it rich (safe) which would show even more losses with retarded timing. If its not raining/snowing tomorrow I'll get vids

the cowl overhang is cut back to the windshield on the top, and cut back to the firewall on bottom. you can see the unfinished passenger side cut in the intake picture. notice i left the holes to attach the plastic cowl cover with the push connectors. i didn't cut the plastic, it just has a little bump over the plenum. can't tell its been cut with the hood closed.
Sorry guys crank trigger pickup took a **** yesterday, started it up to take it for a spin and it died right away. 73 bucks, didn't even last a year I guess MSD had a bad run a year or two ago, hopefully they'll send me one free of charge. New unit from summit is on the way...
edit: using DFI w/ crank trigger and 1x cam sync inside opti. still running in batch to get the tune close, then will switch to sequential and mess with injector timing and individual cyl trims on the dyno.
