I personally think your in over your head. I dont know the parts needed for a launch control system, but a 2 step is normally used. Normally with these cars its called a good rear end, some sticky tires, and putting your foot down. I dont think launch control would help any more then a line lock, sticky tires and a good stall converter and rear end

suspension mods will help avoid wheelhop too which will help keep the 7.5" toothpick together.
OK now it just crossed my mind that there are two very different things both often reffered to as "launch control".
Do you want a line lock to keep the front brakes locked during a burnout or do you want an electronic system to monitor wheelspin and modulate engine power for the quickest launch without spin?
I think most of us were assuming you wanted the power modulating device.

didnt MSD come out with a Skew rate traction control system a few years back that calculated the acceleration of the acceleration of the car and retarded the timing if the tires were gaining speed IE spinning too quickly? probably need a pro to get it tuned in properly, but if thats what your looking for it is one avenue. but from my experience, a blower on an lt1 means tires up in smoke regardless lol

I used my Mallory 685 box's 2 step as launch control with my M6.
Worked great..
My LS1 car with a 3600 stall and drag radials can dead hook on the street if I warm up the tires and launch just right.. I haven't needed anything exotic there. Spray about 40 feet out...
