Default X-pipe

Hello, New to this site and just bought a 93 Z28 and deciding to beef it up a little. Planning on getting some pacesetter Long Tubes but i want an X-pipe and my car is lowered and i heard the ground clearances are a pain in the ***. any ideas maybe running them next to the torque arm?; but who makes an x-pipe thatll fit pacesetter LT's? Ive already tried no luck.

There are plenty of people that do the duals on these cars. It takes a good muffler shop unless you can do it yourself. They can tuck decently enough for DD if the time is spent on them, and 2.5" pipe would be best for clearance. There is one company that makes a kit but I can't recall their name atm. Someone will chime in with it.

I was thinking of doing an X pipe myself but Flowmaster says that an H pipe is better in most all of their testing so... who knows what I will do, lol!

I am actually about to go outside and start working on my duals. I bought the summit universale x-pipe kit and Magnaflow 4x9 mufflers. Im going to have to put dents in the rear seat area if I want goo ground clearence. It can be done. Im going to dump it for a little while and then go over BOTH sides of the axel.

My biggest problem is going to be getting these big *** mufflers tucked up nicely. I may not get them tucked up high enough and I will go with a Mac flowpath or Spintech low profile muffler. The pic on the left is a system a local guy builds and the pic on the right is what Im building.

im kinda wanting my X-pipe to run along my torque arm so i dont scrape them when i pull into driveways. Im planning on doing these bolts ons myself so part numbers or directions on what exact parts to buy would help a lot. (Long Tube Headers, True Duels, X-pipe W/electronic valve cutouts and maybe dynomax bullets) and i want them to dump out all the way to the back, not in the middle like ive seen some do. im brand new and really don't have the money for labor, just enough money for parts and shipping. Help would be Greatly appreciate

You need to hammer the back seat area to tuck them up, should take all of 30 seconds. Ive done it with mufflers bigger than that and they tuck

OP you wont have a problem with clearance as long as you dont rush. LS guys bitch about it too. Take your time and it wont be a problem, if done right you should have same or better clearance than stock

I wouldnt go with 3 inch, especially being lowered. Ive been told multiple times by multiple people that 2.5 inch is good for a 600 horsepower motor.

I have 3 inch duals with Pacesetter LTs (summit universal x-pipe kit). Had the car lowered on eibach pros the first 2 weeks. Scraped on everything. Then I got some eibach drag launch springs and havent scraped since...

I know, take time and trust me you will tuck with more clearance than stock. Use 2.5 inch for more clearance
