Default Mod's for 94 camaro

Hey I'm looking into modding my 94 camaro this spring, I've saved up a good amount of cash and found a guy who can do almost any job I just need to supply parts, suspention was all redone last summer.

So far the engine and transmission are pretty much stock except for a CAI, here's what I had in mind

Borla catback (already bought)
New headers with down pipe and high flow cat
Increase TB size
Change to electric WP
New cam? (Guy suggested it) not sure where to get or what kind

What headers are recommended?

What would be the weak point in this setup? Any mods u can think of to add to this list?

Don't bother increasing the TB size. It's a waste of money because the piece behind it (the intake manifold) isn't any larger than the openings on your stock TB... opening those holes on the intake and running a larger TB won't show you any gains with your setup.

When you do the cam, you should also budget for lifters, push rods, rockers, timing chain, and depending on the cam new springs/retainers... it's about $700-1,100 in parts including the cam.

cam depends on what your going to use your car for.. is it going to be a track car or weekend car or daily driver?

the electric wp isnt really better then the stock one and they give out without warning... some people really like them but some have bad luck with them.

im not sure there is much to if any gain with a bigger throttle body at this point in your car modding... the stock one can handle quite a bit.

Whats your budget? A cam swap can add up pretty fast. Ebay long tubes and ypipe are decent for the $. Dont worry with tb it wont so any gains with ur setup. Ewp is good for 7 to 10rwhp. Then i do gears and stall if auto.

There are also a lot of suspension mods you can do as well, if you're interested in improving the car's handling. Koni Adjustable shocks are about the best out there for our cars, but they're priced accordingly. Shocks, springs, panhard, LCAs, sway bars....lots of possibilities

I would start in this order:
Stall
Gears
Exhaust
Tires
Suspension
Head/Cam
Nitrous.

I didn't follow my own advice and I put suspension on the back burner. I think that was a mistake.

K ill forget about the TB, I'm not interested in nitrous, budget is 10000 at most, suspensions been done already its all new as of last summer, this car is used mostly as a summer toy, a little track use.

Ill add rocker arms, lifters, push rods, and timing chain to my list. Is there a package I can get a cam and all of that stuff together with?

My plan is to get all the engine mods done first and than go to a transmission shop to have that work done, the guy who's doing the work is only 20 and said he would rather not do the transmission because he's not familiar enough

Headers/exhaust and a 3600ish stall torque converter should be your first mods

RIX: Justin just told me about your car.

Port the heads and do a good comp cams XE cam.

Hooker long tube headers.

You can go to a 52 mm TB if u do a good size cam otherwise leave it alone.

I can help you pick the parts. I know of a few shops to get you the parts cheap and do the heads.

Ask Justin for my number.

Nothing local. There is a shop in Saskatoon I deal with that are VERY cheap. Give me a ring and I'll give you all the contact info. PM'd you my number.

Locally the only thing you will use shops in Winnipeg for is the tranny rebuild and rear diff gears.

Like the other guys said, some stickier tires, 3.42/3.73 gears and a SS3600 YANK torque converter and you'd be in business.
