When I did mine (pacesetters), all I did was disconnect the steering linkage and pulled the alternator, then removed the motor mount (I was doing them anyway) for the side I was working on. Lifted the engine on the side I was working on, and slid them on. The driver side went in from the top and passenger from the bottom. Wasn't really hard at all. Got them done in a few hours in my driveway.

I just put in some Kooks LT's. Pulled the plugs, valve covers, alternator and unbolted the motor mounts. Lifted the motor from under the car. For me driverside slid in from the bottom (I never touched steering linkage) Passenger side slid in from the top. Was pretty simple and easy just was time consuming.

Ive put in several sets, and both the Hooker and Pacesetters I have installed went in from the bottom with only the alternator , starter, and a few sensors (just to keep from tearing stuff up.

The pacesetters fit fine, if they're factory. Mine were played with before I got them. I have a minor rattle issue that will be taken care of when I go with stainless lt's. If you're gonna spend the money definitely get the coated. The paint doesn't last but 10 minutes. And I used the pacesetter y for mine.
