Hey guys, doing some porting here at home nothing major just smoothing everything out. Plan on Pac springs and .027 gaskets, anyway was wondering if somebody could post up some pictures of the portwork from Le or Ai so i can get an idea of the differences from what i am doing (i know there is no comparison). I would also like to look at the short side radius in paticular, or maybe someone has a template for these heads. There is not much on the web about it. Thanks.

No pics. But if your doing this yourself. I would leave the short side alone! Don't know your experiance with porting. But it can hurt you if not done right. This is from loydd elliot himself.
I've been thanking about tackeling a spare set of heads myself. And see what I can do. Ill be watching this![Happy](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_stretch.gif)

Not very much room in the intake wall on the short side to begin with!!! Trying to straighten the fow to the vale a minute amount. Should pick up some flow without killing velocity would be the key. Thanks

You will see differences if you look at pics, but without taking VERY good measurements the pics won't be of any use. If you are going to MILDLY port the heads, and clean up casting irregularities and do a little bowl work, then go right ahead, but if you want to go hog wild in the port, leave it to the people with experience. You can easily screw it up. I'm sure that LE and AI have a few junk LT1 heads where they ported too much just to find the boundaries.

No hogging necessary, just the basic bowl pollish and matching. The runners are pretty clean of debris and i just wanted to smooth and polish. Thought i could gentley blend the short side gently to have a straighter shot. Like i said no hogging needed.

Thanks for the pics...are theses pics before porting? No offense but the dont look very smooth or polished, especially around the exhaust guide. They look as cast. Thanks

There's a reason for that. Do a search Lloyd has no problem sharing his techniques there's post out where he describes in detail how he ports his intake and heads. Try finding it by looking up his screen name I believe something like nighttrain66 .
