Default AC delete questions!!

Don't know if this is right place. Sorry if it isnt

I deleted my ac minus the box on firewall already. And I'm getting ready to install LT headers and change my power steering pump. How do I remove the box with motor in car. And can I keep the heater with the delete plate?

There is tons of threads on this. I even made one myself. The search feature will answer more questions than you have on the topic.

Try using google like this. type what you want google to look for followed by the word site:ls1tech.com (run it all together with no spaces from the word site) This will work to use google for searching any selected web site.

ac delete site:ls1tech.com

I did an AC Delete and retained my heater. I had to custom make a delete plate that would allow the blower some room to actually work. I can post pics if you want, but I won't lie....it is a BIT**

Takes about 20 minutes and produces lots of smiles if you just use a BFH and some angry music

Ha yes it does, but I was too nervous about hurting my heater core.

The plates that you buy are designed to bolt in from the inside, removing all components of the heater and a/c duct work.

Your plate is top notch, good work! I just made one with a jigsaw and a piece of aluminum.

You wouldn't happen to have a copy of that CAD file you would want to share would you?

I don't, but I could probably call the shop and get it. It was done by a shop in Greeley Colorado...I gave them the template on the sheetmetal that I did up, they cut it out for me with their waterjet machine. I can call them and get whatever info from them. I thought about making these and welling them haha. It didnt take THAT much to do honestly. Just a lot of trial and error lol.

If you could get ahold of a file that would be awesome! I would paypal some cash your way to keep me from having to go through the trouble of drawing it up. When my motor comes out again in the next year I definitely want to make a really nice panel to fit in there.

I've had the plate laying around for a while. And figured I would have to do some modding. But if you could get a way to have your plate made. I would pay for it!. I have very very little time to get anything done on my car now days with a 3 month old in the house. Plus work. The last couple days I've had enough time to yank the altinator that's it. Slow moving around here

If you want one, I am sure I can look into pricing and get you a number. I didn't really keep track of it when I was doing it the first time, but I will do the math and let you know!
