Swapping t56 out for a A4, what all needs to be done?
I have a 95 Trans Am m6 car that I sold the drivetrain out of so I could put the drivetrain from my camaro in it.. My camaro was a a4 car and I wanna keep the auto tranny in the T.A. so what all needs to be done? I know I gotta.throw a patch panel in it, and I think a neutral safety switch, somthing for the reverse lights and some kind of solenoid that when brakes are pressed I can take it out of park...Does anyone know where any of that stuff is? anything else that needs to be done? thanks!

Probably the easiest thing to do is put in an aftermarket shifter. I run a Hurst Quarter Stick for the 700r4. It has both neutral safety and back up light switches built in to it. You also don't need a shift interlock (requiring the brake pedal to be pressed before you shift out of park). The Quarter Stick has a mechanical lock that holds it in Park and a reverse lock out lever as well.
