Head CC
When u guys had AI or LE heads done, what kind of CC change was there? As far as compression goes did u have to reduce the thickness of th stock .050 thickness to keep up the 10.5 or 4 rating? I have been porting and want to use the .026 Mr gasket to get 11to1. What did u guys do? Thanks

I have not milled my heads and i dont think i will. Car only had 52k when pulled. I am just porting and polish, just wondering if this could change cc alot. So that the 026 may get me where i started. Instead of bumping to 11.1. Thanks for the input.

Definitely cc your heads while you have them off, so you KNOW what you have.
Good choice to run the .026 gasket regardless.
What cam are you running? If it's anything other than stock, and depending on your measured cc, you'll probably want to mill the heads.
I have no idea how much chamber volume was added by the CNC work at AI. I just told them I wanted 52cc chambers and they milled them accordingly as their last step.

I had the cc503 cam ground up. So what is the stockk cc for the lt head? I barely took any off in the chamber area just smoothed and polished in this area...now the runners is a different story. Very nice, i had no idea i could put that kind of time into porting and polishing a set of heads DAMN!

They sell a kit to do it, but I had plexy lying around and got a medicine syringe for like 2 bucks at walgreens that had CC graduations in it. Not 100% perfect, but will get you within a fraction of a CC - more then close enough.
No point for anyone to pay a machine shop 40 bucks to CC a chamber, it only takes a few bucks and a couple minutes of your time.
