Default Looking to get back into the LT1 scene

I had a BGM 97 Formula a few years ago that I LOVED but sold due to economy. Got into a 98 LS1 Formula last year and sold it to purchase a car for the wife, now am going to be looking at LT1s in the next few months again but only problem is I want another 97 BGM formula. I have personally only seen one in person and that was mine, anyone have any idea of how many were made and how hard itll be to find one.
this is the color im looking for.

Going to be damn hard to do. Took me months to find my car and it's black. Lol

Love the color though.

Love formulas especially in that color with the fire hawk hood not the ws6 one. Pure sex.

Ive personally never ever seen a 93-97 firebird in that color ever and even on the net. I thought it was only a Camaro color they used it on? I originally thought your were talking about BGC (Blue Green Chameleon or Mystic Teal).

I've never seen another formula in this color in person. I've seen 2 other firebirds but they where v6 birds. The actual paint code on the car when I checked was for arctic white and the car had never been painted so I dunno but I want another one bad now.

They are easy to work on. Except for the tight spaces. Mabe you will get lucky and not have opti problems. In 10 years and 2 LT1's I've never had a problem with one(mabe I'm Just lucky) keep your eyes open you'll find one. Or just paint one that color

I guess if I could find one cheap enough painting wouldnt be outta the question. I only had 1 problem with an opti and had huge problems when I tried swapping to the delteq system.

That's why I'm going with LS1 ignition on my forced induction build. Just pick up a LT1 slap some paint on her. And you'll be good to go plus have fresh paint with no dings

To bad your stuck on that color. Theres some nice Firehawks & WS6 LT1 cars on craigslist from OKC,Houston & Dallas. Most of em are red, black & I think a white one. The white one with some house of kolors kandy green would getcha close.

Mine is Dark Green Metallic... and even it is not the most common colour.
I have never seen an BGM in local for Sale. I would have wanted one if I had found one for sure though. Love the colour.

Good luck with your search!

Which headers are best bang for the buck now? Still pacesetters? It's been 4 years since I've researched any lt1 stuff.

I wish you luck in your search. I will say you may need to be patient in your search (especially if you're choosing AUTO vs MANUAL) since there were only about 2200 TOTAL Formula coupes produced in 1997 (that were not WS6 or Firehawks). Not sure where you can find the complete breakdown of the 2200 Formula coupes, but I dug up my 97 brochure and the paint code is 31 for Bright Green Metallic (in case you're looking for the color so you can get paint for it).

Also, I spent almost 3 years before finding my 2006 GTO with the right combo, right mileage, and right area (silver exterior, black interior, and a 6-speed), so don't be discouraged if you don't find something right away.
