Default lt1 boost ngktr6 gap?

as title says what gap should i run for a 8lb rear mount system with a stock motor with tr6

i run .35, which is the factory gap i believe

I would run .35. Stock gap is .50 fyi

My set up = 0.39" gap on NGK TR6 IX plugs

sorry to offend the factory chevy spark gap, i was refering to the NGK tr6's factory gap is set to .35.

I run a boosted application. Anything over .030 and I blow em out....

I run .028 on a 1 degree colder plug....(colder than stock that is.)

lol ok so i guess there is some play with this? .35 seems to be successful with people... will the lower the gap mean colder the burn?

what is your ignition setup?? that would be a large determining factor on what size gap you could run...

Lower the gap means less chance of spark getting blown out. Bigger gap is better but too big will blow out spark. I don't think I would go over .40 but if you wanna try anywhere around 30-38 I think you would be fine. Just check them after running it and see how they look. You will tell in how the car runs if it's blowing out the spark.

with the msd coil and the 6AL you could do .040. instead of running the TR6's you could run the BR6ef which is a non-projected tip plug and they resist blowing out more than the projected. Br6's have the same heat range but are non-proj. also less chance of cracking the porcelain... Just a idea to ponder...
