Default Speed pro 12cc pistons

Has anyone ran these on a 383 LE2 N/A motor? I'm wanting to know if my co
Compression is going to be to low. I may need to trade these off for some flat tops.

With a zero deck and a .040 gasket with a 58cc chamber your static compression will be right around 11:1

i will be running the 9966PT I believe its a .049 thickness. With 0 Deck. Any Idea what that would make it? I may need to go with a thinner gasket.

Maybe even have the heads milled a bit , get the chamber closer to 55 cc.

Look like a .026 gasket gives ya 11.39 with the combo you have. I'd go for that. I just bought a 383 with -16cc pistons and a .025 deck, I got some work to do, you're in good shape.

I think it is borderline, but Iwould want at least 11.3 to 11.5 preferably closer to 12, but that means good gas everyfill up as well. The 11:1 would let you on occation run a lower octane and not worry in a pinch.

I used to run the 5716 gasket I won't ever again. It was great on motor but didnt handle nitrous very well and let go. Joe (Ramair95TA) used to run impala ss gaskets which are thin too. Those let go on his as well. We both run Cometics now and I wont ever look back. Cometic will make you a .027 MLS gasket if you call in. They are pricey but well worth it.

Just spoke with LE (man that guys customer service is top notch). He said with a 0 deck, .026 Mr Gaskets, 12cc dish pistons, in a 383 would put right at 11.9:1. I think that should be perfect for a street/strip application. What do you guys think?

just checked my deck height with a straight edge and feeler gauge. I can fit a .010 feeler between the piston and the straight edge. Does this mean its decked .010 not 0? TDC just done by visual.

If you are correctly at tdc, then yes it's .010 deck height
