I ended up trading some things plus a little cash to get a used stainless Magnaflow catback. I traded things I wasnt using and stuff that came off the car I didnt need. I will say this, If you go that route, make sure it isnt welded up and if it is welded, make sure if you have a bird, its going on a bird. If you have a camaro, make sure its from a camaro. The angle of the tips are totally different. I have to spend more money now since mine was welded for a camaro, so I had to cut the tips off. Just been running the tipless look for now.
The 3" mandral bent magnaflow system vs a non mandrel bent 2.75 flowmaster difference was pretty amazing. Its still loud but its like thunder now, Getting on it tho it just yells at everything behind it lol.
Everyone Is pretty much right tho, a stock like cat back is way quieter then any dumps. the Borla Mufflers seem quiet, but you arnt gonna do your wallet any favors to buy them.

Lol...my 2 1/2 year old son LOVES the sound/acceleration of the old LT1 with mid-tubes, ORY, magnaflow....when given the choice he always runs to the purple car yelling "Vroom Vroom purple car go FAST!" and climbs right in....he has no such love for my other LS1 Firehawk with longtubes and SLP exhaust though...might as well be a beige toyota camry for him
