Default buying a car? ltx turbo

It's a 94 camaro with a bone stock never touched lt1 bottom end and le2 heads cam car with a , 3600 stall and 3.23 gears. The car has a 76mm turbo and air IC. Just wondering if anyone has a setup like this and what can it run.

How well will this effect boost and how well do u think it will drive.

I'm figuring the heads r about 55cc so that would b around 10.6 compression. Which is a lot for boost. But I guess it can last awhile if it is only pushing about 8lbs.

Why would you "figure" the heads are 55cc?? The cam will have alot to do with it's potential.. On a good tune & parts combo 8-10 psi with that compression will work...
I successfully turbo'd an ls1 combo with similar compression..

Welcome to a ticking time bomb. The bottom end of a LT1 isn't build for boost. Max I'd push is 8psi and thats with a spot on tune.

Also when buying a turbo car you have no idea what the previous owner did to it. IE bump boost up to 20 psi.

I ran a stock bottom end with le2 heads and a 306 comp with a t67 ic at 10psi for a while, car also had 4.10 gears at the time and a 2800stall. Made 525rwhp and wad a blast to drive. But I always want more so it was replaced with a forged 383 with le3 heads and custom turbo camshaft and bigger turbo. When we pulled the old motor apart you could see that the ring lands on a few pistons were starting to stress crack and I was lucky to have not blown it up.

Ever seen Buggys Bunny try to jump through and oil pan? Thats what it looks like when you throw a rod into it.

Ah yes because its so much fun stomping on it on the freeway and having a piston shattered at 120mph.
Not to mention this could cause damage to the turbo.

Lol I know the damage of what could happen. But getting the car for under 4500 is worth the shot having it.

I'd get it, but I wouldn't try to blow it up.

4500 dollars is low just for a turbo setup. So you basically buy a turbo setup and get the car free.

At 8psi and a good tune... probably can run 10.9-11.2 @ 125-127mph.

If you have the expendable cash... go for it. Especially if breaking it does not scare you.... just know "its not if your gonna break it... its WHEN your gonna break it..."

Truthfully doesnt sound like a bad deal just take your time building a bottom end for it and keep it baby boost till its ready! Hell I org bought my forged 383 ready to go for 350 then changed everything. lol

We blew apart a vortech supercharged stock bottom end lt1 in under 2 weeks of hard street use (motor had like 110k miles). Ran 9 psi with the proper amount of timing pulled.

dynamic compression wont break pistons... detonation will. You might have thought the timing was appropriate, but you must have had detonation.
