Smile Where can I get these items?

Okay, so I'm planning on doing the opti delete on a LT1 car I picked up for cheap. I was told the car just stopped running on a new motor.(opti is bad)
So with that being said I want to do the conversion to take advantage of modern tuning .
I have found a place to make a new harness, coil connectors, so take care of all the connections under the hood, everything with a ls1 pcm benched tuned, for 750... all i need is to make coil brackets and get coils.
Now my question is I have a 1997 timing cover. Where can I pick up the cam holder, reluctor ring... because EFI seems expensive. for the cover items. IDK i'm new at this conversion stuff so . LMK if someone can help out here.

wow, EFI just contacted me and said the system would not work with my 1994 4l60e transmission, something about : not compatible with the LS1 PCM. The 3-2 downshift solenoid and torque converter lockup solenoid are, in the very least, not compatible. Suggested a 1996 or newer updates... damn transmission has 1000 miles since rebuild, but do not know about any updates..will ask the old owner.

Buy a GM opti and install it correctly.

The opti is NOT a bad piece, people like to buy junk ones and neglect them and blindly blame the design.

Yeah just replace the Opti and enjoy the car. I've never had any opti related problems with GM Opti. I replaced the orginal GM opti when my car had 89K miles but it wasn't even bad and wasn't even the problem at the time but I was an LT1 noob then.... I have 30K on the GM opti and have been beating on that thing non stop for 4 years.

In my travels I have come to this conclusion too. Avoid the MSD opti. You can use a Chinese opti (eBay) but it has no bearings and won't last as long as a GM opti.

Every time an ignition complaint comes up the opti is suspect. Both the vented and unvented GM optis are good for 60-80,000 miles. They don't just go out in rain storms, if they do it's usually a vented opti with cracked hoses that sucked up water. My unvented opti goes through rain storms, engine shampoos, etc. without problems. Lots of other things go wrong before the opti.

Thumbs up

Mine failed at just over 100k miles. That's a pretty damned impressive service life IMO.
