anychance a non stainless version would be made for the garage queens or race only cars? Or even 2.5in version? A more afforable price tag may open up the doors to more sales ..

I really hope you guy success with these though.
Thats why I have an LT1. Its mostly college kids who couldnt afford the LS1, but you will probably have good sales with those who graduated college, got a good job, still have the sentimental attachment to their LT, and want to start modding it. People like to spend $$ on big names that offer a bolt in/on/ or plug in item, theres a reason Edelbrock still makes their LT1 intake, why Hypertech is still in business, and why people still buy flowmaster catbacks for F bodys. Kooks is the Cadillac of headers, you shouldnt have any issue making profit on this endeavor.

I can just about gurantee for 500.00 your not getting stainless like the kooks is...you pay for what you get no two ways around it. I have the kooks 1 7/8 into true dual setup and its worth every penny spent.

garage queen cars wont prolong the life of aluminized exhaust, if anything it would rust even sooner from condensation build up in the pipes... meaning it will rust from the inside out. Also my experience with coated steel headers is not very good. Rocks off of the front wheels kick up and chip the coating on the collectors causing rust. I had a set of coated hooker lt's that were installed on my ls with 5k mi and taken off at 14k mi, the collectors looked like cast iron manifolds they were so rusty. This car never sees rain and is stored in a climate controled garage. Spend the money and buy satainless, trust me its worth it!!!

Are you the one who's car was used for mock up? If so can you post pics showing clearance etc?

Well stated. If you're going to go through the hassles of putting headers on a 4th gen, pony-up for the good parts.

Stainless is by far a better steel. I was just trying to see if they were willing to open up the doors for the budget guy or younger guy that cant spend 1200 on a exhaust. I myself understand you get what you pay for. But I have a friend w/ a olds 442 total garage queen, no rain etc ( similar to how I keep my car) maybe a few k mi's a year with a 14yr old flowmaster aluminized exhaust that still looks new, no rust, no nothing. He keeps the outside clean but does nothing for the inside...

Side bar- my 4 year old pacesetter's and y-pipe are holding up fine.
