There are some different schools of thought on this subject. dumIn the older
days 80% was a standard for duty cycle. dumNow we have done testing and have
been able to monitor injector life, stability, and the lb/per hour rating
over a period of time under stress, and that number is closer to around
90%. dumAt 90% the injector is working and still is not being stressed too
much to decrease longevity. dumAs well as a slightly higher duty cycle makes
it easier to tune..

Hmm ok so maybe I should get a set of 36# gtp injectors to keep the duty cycle up? I think I can get a set of 8 dirt cheap...

That is what I'd do.
I'd venture to say that companies make more money selling injectors to people who really don't need them compared to those who really do. So, is it any surprise that the standard "line" you get when you call them is slanted toward recommending an "upgrade"?
I challenge you to keep your foot down long enough in a 450-500 rwhp car to ever fail your 30 lb/hr injectors because of the duty cycle issue.

Wasn't inflating any bubble. Don't take things out of context. That was a reply to another post that implied some people like myself have no basis or knowledge for not riding along on popular bandwagons.
You bring up a good point though. There are thousands of people like yourself that really have no clue what a real engineer is.
