Default How much did u pay for your block?

Price out everything with machining, balancing, blueprinting if it was.
Parts and labor if a shop did everything for ya. ALso what your location is?
All minus the cam, flywheel, timing chain. Just the block with rotating assembly.
Even if you bought the parts and had a shop do the engine build, type in what the cost of parts was and the build anyway. But please specify.

stock short block with forged pistons only? .030-.060 over with machining

Stock short block with all bearings replaced, Forged pistons and resize the rods with arp bolt?

Stock short block with all bearings replaced, Forged pistons and resize the rods with arp bolt and convert to 4 bolt main with splayed bolts?

Stock short block with all bearings replaced, Forged pistons and New forged rods with arp bolts and convert to 4 bolt main with splayed bolts?

Fully forged bottom end ( if so what kit, i.e callies, eagle, scat) (stock stroke and length or 3.75, 5.7/5.85/6.0 rod)
with arp everything, all bearings replaced and 4 bolt main caps

I believe my machined LT1 block was around $1k including the core picked up from a engine shop in S. Jersey. Machine work included bored .030 over, line hone, clearance for stroker crank, cleaning, new cam bearings, 4-bolt splayed conversion, new freeze plugs and painted. Might be a few minor things I'm missing in the list but that was the just.

Callies Dragonslayer crank, Callies Compstar rods, JE 2618 extreme blower pistons, Total Seal Gapless Top ring set. I want to say the parts listed were around $2700 give or take a couple hundred.

Just as a guide, heres mine:

this was a rebuild of the 383 stroker out of my Camaro. (broke the crank trashed rings)

New Mahle Pistons, Eagle Hbeam Rods, Eagle 4340 forged crank. ARP 2000 hardware including main studs and head studs. Splayed the block for 4 bolt main caps. Machining including clearance the block for the Hbeam rods. New Timing chain and water pump drive. Stock length one piece trickflow pushrods. ARP rocker studs. 5 angle valve job, along with a single exhaust valve that was bent. Obviously new bearings, gaskets, ect. TCI neutral balanced flexplate. Moroso windage tray. Everything was cleaned up and painted as well.

The motor was dropped off to the builder minus the accessory bracket/ignition, but complete from intake to oil pan. After assembly, re-assembly, and all the brand new parts, plus setting the clearances up in the motor to handle a healthy amount of Nitrous..... My price in this rebuild is right around 5300.00.

I also got a few extra goodies that I didnt include in the price, like a PTC converter, and a couple of UMI pieces. I'm very happy with the motor, and its actually going in this weekend.

383. I purchased the rotating assembly from him. I had a good machine shop do the bock (midstate machine) here in Iowa.

Its setup for nitrous. The shop did a great job. That price also included a half fill.
