[QUOTE=FAD2BLK93;16429881]On a motor with this many heat cycles on it you REALLY REALLY run the risk of snapping the bolts off inside the head. Which is not uncommon, then u will be posting another thread on how to do the teardown and fix...i will be watching for it. Good luck.[/QUO

Thanks. Yes well Im probably going to hit the bolts with some WD-40 or any other cleaner/penetrator that can help loosen up some dirt and hopefully the bolts. Il let it sits for quite a while soaked on WD before I decide to untrue them, fingers crossed cause this is my DD =).

Since the manifolds are this old, they may not be even anymore, which may have caused your blowout. IMO I think you should try a Fel-Pro 1406 or equivalent paper/steal core gasket. ARP bolts work well.
Ive seen the felpros 1406 compared to the stock ones, and the felpros 1406 look beefier and it seems it covers more surface area. I can't go wrong with that, I just do not want to do the job again anytime soon XD. So if those 1406 work as well without any issues or need to reshape or cut the felpros 1406 down then Im all for it!

It's not really a matter of being "beefier" but more along the lines of widening the margin for error with surface area imperfections. If you blow the fel-pros out either the exhaust bolts came loose or a manifold is warped.

Oh ok I see =), so my best bet is to go with the felpros 1406 correct?

Btw I bought the stock original bolts, theres 9 in total I would have to replace correct? As well some PB Blaster =).
