Just finished building and breaking in the new engine. It's a 381 forged stroker, TFS heads, and a LE cam 242/248, 58x lift on a 110 LSA. I have done minimal tuning so far and the cam surge in closed loop sucks. Question is; Is the cam too big to run in closed loop? I dont' want to waste a million hours tuning just to find out open loop is the way to go instead of closed loop.

[QUOTE=Mystery Bird;16458620]I was looking at the log and it's not long enough to be a good indicator. Anyway cell 7 is the worst, green 150's, the rest that did show up showed blms to be pretty close. I will have to do some good logging this weekend along with some idle tuning. But you think it can be tuned for closed loop?
Of course, The only cars I tune open loop are motors with huge solid roller cams, sheet metal intakes and even some of those are still CL. Your setup is mild and not radical enough to have to run in OL..
