503 idle Hey guys, just got my tune back from pcmforless and the TA runs STRONG. Just curious about the idle setting. Mine starts out cold about 950 and at full warm works its way down to 820-850 rpm. Does this sound correct? Im just not used to this high. Went from stock 550-650 idle. Kind of drags the brakes when coming to a stop. Just wanted to see if anybody has any input. Thanks

Not yet, after all the things i changed i could not afford 700 for one. Its a little lazy when i stab it off the line, but i dont fry the tires either. Going to the track this weekend.

You definitely need a stall in there, no stall vs. A stall will affect your idle.
You will be experiencing "Lazy launching" due to the lack of a stall converter. My buddy has a vig 3600 on his 97 and it is perfect! You are headed in the right direction.

They must tune them like that. Before my first tune with them, my idle was exactly the same as yours. After my cam and tune same as yours. Must be a cookie cutter file. Glad it's running strong, any 1/4 mile times yet?

This weekend....can't wait!!! Its been months putting it together hoping for 12.5 without a converter. When i get a 3600 hoping to be nocking on the 11's. Will post up results when i run. Another question i thought of guys, when i get a stall will i have to retune?? I wouldn't think so right? Thanks I F'N WANNA GO TO THE F'N TRACK!!!! Mother nature has been a real BITCH this year in the pacific northwest!
