Default 97 ws6 starting issue

So I just got my ws6 on the road after if had been sitting a barn for the last 2 1/2 yrs that I know of ... when I go to start it when I ever I leave in the morning or when u its been sitting for a while it will take a while to start and sounds like the battery wants to die. Even worst when its been running around and hot out actually soundlike the battery dies when its cranking. After driving around getting the cob webs out parked it then. went to leave again and car started but died and wouldn't start only bogged or struggled to stay running so pushed into drive way and took wife's truck came back later and started and ran fine. today when I left to go home for lunch car actually just clicked but was able to jump start. Put the car on a charger then was fine for rest the day other than what I've said. Any help would be appreciated. Car is mostly stock.

I would start with checking fuel pressure. Check before crank and after.

Check to see if the pressure bleeds off right away. It should hold pressure. Was there gas in the tank the whole time it was sitting? Could have a gunked up fuel filter or injector.
Did you get the battery tested as well?

I bought the car in febuary but didn't put it on road do not being around deployed.but I know its sat in he barn for the last 2yrs cause that was last time it was registered and insuranceran out same year. Idk how offen he drove before I bought but since I've had it I keep gas and started it and it always done the long hard start but til I've actually got it on did it leave me stranded. Ill get a new filter in soon also.

OK put the gauge on it when I turn key to run it jumps to about 44 psi and very slowly falls. Then when I crank it falls but doesn't go under 35 psi and running its about 38ish psi.

It should be higher then that while running. I vote clogged filter or fuel pump. I could be wrong though.

Are you sure the charging system is good on this? Batt. Alt? Is the gas fresh? The fuel pressure seems reasonable to me. I am sure a new fuel filter would be in order anyway.

Almost just sounds like bad gas or like someone said dirty injectors.

Well one of my friends told me to pull my start cause it sounds like its dragging so I pull it....had to unbolt a cross over pipe for exhaust busted a bolt and said f**k it and started undoing the exhaust to put my hooker headers in. Well got the pipe out and pulled starter and that sucker was soaked in oil and grime. Well I think I found where my miss had been coming from also the last wire on driver side was dry rotted and the wire inside was showing though.but all has not done well with the install only managed to pull driver side so far the front one on passenger side with the bolt for the alternator is being a real pain in the ***. Anybody got any tips for these headers?
