Ltx tuning.
I've got a lt1 in a 94 Trans am, was gonna swap a ls in it but figure I'd keep the lt in it cause the car is real clean.....I'm planing a rear mount turbo and was wondering how I could do a standalone ecu so I can tune the car myself instead of waiting a week to do a mail order tune.....any help would be grand

Any standalone ecu can be wired to any car. I personally recommend something plug and play so you don't have to deal with wiring. I've been down that road several times with my rice burners and it's a pain in the ***.
If wiring is your thing, I would suggest checking out Hydra EMS. It has a pretty sweet autotune feature which of course means that it integrates directly with a wideband o2 sensor to set a good intial base tune.

The 94-95 LT1 pcm is probably the cheapest and easiest pcm there is to tune.
tunercat sells a complete package with cable, tuner and datalogger for $255 and I would call that the expensive way to go.
Tunerpro is a programmer that is free/donate.
once you have the datalogger you can get professional help by emailing your chosen tuner datalogs if you feel in over your head.
