Default Anyone run a set of HIR bulbs in their cars?

One of my headlights just went out so I figured I'de give them a try... Hoping they are noticeably better than stock.

Supposedly an increase of 875 lumen for low beams and 650 for high beams.
HIR 9011→ 9005 High beams 1700lm→2350lm
HIR 9012→ 9006 Low beams 1000lm→1875lm

Not sure how they will work with no coating on the tip of the bulb to keep the filament from blinding oncoming drivers.

Just put them in. Even in the daylight they are noticeably brighter and whiter than the stock lights. I also went with the eurolamps sealed beam conversion housings.

Shitty cell phone pics (new bulbs on left side)

Waiting for my bulbs to burn out, i have some piaa 9006s in the stock housings now and I'd love some improvement.

Just took it for a drive. Definitely a huge improvement over stock, and they are noticeably whiter.

I just recently stumbled on this as well, while researching hids.

It looks as though the low beam needs a cover over the bulb tip for proper light output and to prevent blinding other drivers. Kind of like the cut off on HIDs.

No idea if they make them for the foglights since deleted mine awhile ago, but I don't think they do.
