Keep in mind, to get the lower time slips the Hotcam likes the 6300-6400 rpm range. Good luck.

So what I see here is someone asking a question trying to validate a decision he already made and then denying the answer he got. There are as many running high 12s to mid 13s as there are low 12s but you are PRETENDING low 12s is the norm.
You average things out and the answer Joe gave you is correct mid to high 12s is normal.
Hell several of the cars reported here are ported heads and then you have some getting into TH350 which is not a street car sort of thing.

@96capricemgr and your point being??? Yes im getting a lt4 hot cam installed and wanted to know what other people with the cam ran in the 1/4 so what! Also yes i am shocked to see low 13 second high 12 second times seeing as tho i run that without the cam, thats what the forum is for... Ask questions and be informed.

The car was a 355, but being the motor was unballanced and using heavier pistons then stock there was no real gain...more likely a loss. I believe the car would've been in the elevens if it had a stock engine in it.

thats rediculous lol.
are these like 1.6-1.7 and below 60's or what? I should ditch my stupid cam for a hotcam, pick up speed, driveability and lower my 1/4 time lol....I dont see any loss! arnt they like 25 bucks now anywys(joke)?! Add a 75-100 shot and thats 11's.
is 6300-6400 a shift point or peak power? Meaning do you shift it at 6300 or do you shift it at 6500-6600?
You people are talking about the 219/228 @.050 492/492 with 1.5 rockers and 525/525 with 1.6 rockers..right?
is it bad that im seriously considering switching to a hotcam lol. This 226/232 .606/.603 108lsa cam just kinda sucks on a stock head engine.

Again please help me understand why does any of this matter to you? Imo you have not been useful or helpful. In one of my last comments i stated that part of my reason for this post was to find out what people on ls1tech ran. When i google searched i found different links on several other forums with people stating mid to low 12 second times but imo was kind of too good to be true. Also even if i was looking for validation or what have you how does that pertain to you? Why do you care? Do you own a lt4 cammed car? Regardless of what point your trying to make its all irrelavant to this whole convo. Also if people have ported heads and are running 12s so what lol that should be a good thing right? Lol
