metal clinking
so today, I was driving and hear more than the normal suspension noise my car has. it sounds more of heavy metal on metal clinking from my driver side front. is that my strut, did it go bad? or is it something else in my suspension.
is there a possibility it can be my oil pump or pan?

it happens both when speeding up, even at low rpm and hitting bumps. it sounds like it is coming from front driver side wheel and its becoming worse

So quit driving it. If it is not RPM related then it has nothing to do with the engine, oil or anything like that. If you put the car in neutral while at say 50mph and rev the engine, the sound either increases and decreases with the RPM's, or it decreases slowly with the speed of the car.
If it is speed and bump related, then you need to start checking things like your tie rod, sway bar, check to see if your shocks have collapsed or is you broke a spring...make sure all of your bolts are tight and the castle nuts are there with cotter pins in them. Make sure your bushings are ok and there, and make sure there are no broken pieces. I would keep from driving it until you figure out what it is and what it takes to make it stop. It could be very dangerous to drive it because there is no telling what it about to happen. Also check your brakes...I had a caliper bolt break once and had an issue with a lot of noise. Just take the tire off and start trying to figure it out.
