Nope, stock T stat, which I believe is 185. You make a good point though, it wont be able to cool it any more than 185 as the T stat would close at that point...

Just ordered a Lakewood driveshaft safety loop. $25 shipped used BOO YAAAAAA

3. I have FORD factory drum brakes on my 9", it says "factory drum or disk brakes allowed", they are factory, just not F body factory. Is this ok? They are heavier than stock so I dont see why it would be an advantage.

4. I dont currently have a driveshaft loop, do I really need to buy one right now? NEED THIS ANSWER ASAP

5. I lost/threw away/buried in the attic the plastic things that go at the top edge of the door frames, its part of the interior, but you wouldnt notice they are missing that easily. Also am missing my plastic sills that go on the bottom of the door frame. I have "Carpet and interior panels required forward of the package shelf. Must have headliner, sun visors, instrument panel, vents, heater controls, etc." Is this a problem?

GIZMO, are you the one who makes these decisions? Will any of these things be a problem? THE WORST THING EVER would be to drive 12 hours out there and be disqualified for missing some stupid plastic sills.
I'd pm GIZMO these questions. I know you'll be fine without a driveshaft Loop though.

Mount it somewhere else. Slide it up a little further forward and drill new holes.

I see street stock has early tech in at 5pm friday night? Theres no way Im going to make that, and it appears online registration is closed, but 94.3% count me in! Is teching in for street stock going to take longer than other classes, and thats why they ask us to be there the night before? Will I be able to take a nap in my car at the track at 4am or are the gates closed to the point there is nowhere to park? How early can I start teching in on saturday?

dont worry about teching in the night b4. last year daren was running a little late and we did tech sat morning at the track. if you show up that early at the track im sure you could park it outside the gates until they open and take a nap.

I am SO torn right now to pack the Camaro or to pack my truck and abandon the Shootout. 60% chance of rain, and pretty much 100% chance that I will be driving through it at some point. My car SUCKS in the rain now with no defroster or AC, and I have yet to leave the garage with the new valvetrain installed. I have 1 more hour to make up my mind...
