Yea, it didn't much care for the summer. It loved 104 from the pump but 97 worked.

It's an LE 242/248 110lsa 580ish lift. It's the cam LE Spec'd for my 383 build. Man I thought that just seemed high for street oh well. Will a stock starter eventually go out starting something with 12.5+?

Tuner needs to know what he is doing.

Stock starter is a nice gear reduction piece, just give it a larger feed cable and it will be fine.

I know it doesn't "look" like a gear reduction starter but it is.

With a fairly mild 236/244 112 cam my old 396 ran great with 12.25:1 so i think youll be good.

Well I Got a mail tune from Ion. I got the tune hoping it with get me to the nearest LT1 turner (about 2hrs away). Think it will be ok with that tune driving for 120 miles? Or should I just rent a trailer? Good to know about the starter thanks 96caprice.

Can you just mill the heads or do you have to design a cam around the designated CR?

If I milled the heads I thought it would increase the compression? Is this backwards? I guess I could just go with a thicker gasket if I needed to lower it.

Just curious, what heads are you running for this build?

Running an LE2 set of stock casting heads 54cc. LE did say this cam loves high compression. I just wanted to know if I need to only run high octane or if 93 would be ok.
