is this forged/cast/ or just junk
Yeah sorry meant to put clearance not bore. You'd probably be spending around the same if you bought a new eagle forged crank. The extra expense would come from clearing the block. Up to you. If you just get the crank I hear good things about Ohio cranks, and can't beat the price for a forged unit. Check them out. Forged 383 one piece for like $495.
I read alittle bit about them and it sounds like they are just re badged eagles and scat.
Someone even went as far to say that they are the blems from eagle and scat trued up a bit.
But you guys know how the internet goes....I think I'm going to just go eagle forged because I have a buddy that can get it to me from cost picked up local

Probably a lot of true to them being rebranded chinese stuff, I mean it is not like there are going to be a lot of forges actually making this stuff. The blems idea is even completely reasonable given thew pricing. I don't know if it is true but seems reasonable.
Howards offers some 100% made in America stuff for not much more than eagle or Scat forged, they flat out say machined by Callies for them so that is good stuff that supports your friends and neighbors. Believe the forged in America cranks are done in Louisville.

I got a killer deal on my Lunati racer series crank ($510) when I ordered it he said he had only two of them (about 3 weeks ago) I will call them @ lunch and see if they still have it and PM u the info.
