Anyone interested - LT1 w/blown engine
I posted this in the eastern members section but this is where all the LT1 guys are at so if you're interested shoot me a pm. Looking for a respectable offer.

Based on what I've read here, a lot of people seem to have trouble getting that much for cars that actually run.

I paid $4000 for a roller about 6 months ago. It's a clean car with alot of nice parts including a 12 bolt, RaceStars, RaceCraft k-member, coil-overs all around, TQ arm, etc.
I was actually in the market for a used 12 bolt and after looking at several that would have been in the $2000 range by the time they were shipped.....paying more for alot of parts I always wanted doesn't seem bad.
I'm still undecided on what I'm going to do with the roller after keeping the parts I want, but if I sell it for $2000 to $1500 with stock suspension, wheels, and rear.....someone would still be getting a clean roller with SS hood, spoiler, etc.

Not my car in this thread and I don't know the car or the OP, but to all of you who posted saying $4000 is too much, what would you take for you own LT1 car without the engine? (Or with a blown engine in this case?)
Not saying it will be a quick sale...but I think it sounds about right after reading the list of parts.
I also agree you'd be better to just part it out.

Yeah, but that wouldn't include the 9" and nice suspension parts you have listed for sale as a $2500 package. (Very good deal for any of you looking by the way.)
Think about it.....your car as it sits with those parts under it and a blown 383 engine. $4000 asking price doesn't sound so high does it?

I'll give it to you it's not a bad car, or bad foundation for a project, but I really need to encourage you to Part it out if you need $4000 out of it. Right now id say $3000 is a fine price. Good luck with the sale. I'm very curious to what is wrong with the motor, is it a cast crank?

had the car checked out and it looks like it didn't blow the engine. the damper fell off somehow while driving and broke the oil pan. going to fix those two things then sell the car in working order.
