Default cooling issues need help

OK guys the ol' lt1 in struggling in this arizona heat. Its 100 or higher everyday during the summer and the car is getting hotter than im comfortable with. I know the stock fans dont come on until like 225 and then again at like 240 or somewhere around there but that seems ridiculous to me. What can i do to keep it cooler?

so far ive replaced the radiator with a stocker, new waterpump, just had the fan sensor replaced and all new hoses. I know i should also do the thermostat but just havent gotten to it yet. Any other ideas that would help id appreciate. thanks.

Cant you Tune the PCM to get the fans turned on sooner?! Do you drive it in the city? because mine tends to get hot in the city and cools down to 170 on the highway.

160 thermostat and earlier fan operation. That's about it.

Having said that there's nothing wrong with your temps. You don't think any LT1 cars weren't sold in hot climates? Don't sweat it (no pun intended).

lol well yesterday it just freaked me out, i was sitting in rush hour traffic and it tapped the red bar on the temp gauge, took it to my mechanic today and the fan sensor was bad and had a leaking hose so got that fixed today. I drove it home in rush hr still gets up to the top white line right before the red bar but doesnt go passed that now. I just freak out seeing the temps go that high. Where can i go to have the fans programmed to turn on at lower temps? i dont have access to any scan tools

I find myself a little bothered every time my car hits that 240 er whatever mark too

Awaiting a tune to make the 160 stat actually do something

You havent removed the chin spoiler under the front have you??? thats a No No If hoses & stuff were bad Is the water pump leakin?? If the cooling system was neglected by the previous owner You might use some superflush & follow the directions to the letter Then replace the water pump & burp the system Use some Water Wetter with your coolant in hot weather Weve used it on race bikes forever!!! Make sure you bleed the system properly afterwards so it wont get worse after all that work be a good time for a complete tune up while your there Just my 2cents Might get a new radiator cap if you havent already Time isnt nice to seals & things regardless of milage I can show you brand new Kawisaki Ninjas from like 96 or so Never been uncrated BUT need every seal in the sob replaced from dry rot

the entire cooling system is more than a yr old so i think everything should still be good. My mechanic looked at the radiator and water pump yesterday and said everything looks very good. I also never removed the air dam i know that is a big no no
