I'd like some AFRs, but I simply can't afford to drop 2 grand on a set of heads. I picked up my AFR LT4's from Flatlander racing for ~$1600. They have since raised their price: http://www.flatlanderracing.com/afr195cclt4.html. I'm not sure I reccommend doing business with them, because they bill your credit card before you ever get the heads. Anyway, after I received them (about 10 weeks later b/c AFR's are on backorder!!!) I put about another $800 into having them ported. But GM LT4 heads cost like $1200 new anyway. Then you get to spend, probably, the same $800 having them ported anyway. If I had to make an estimate, the difference between AFR LT4 heads and standard GM LT4 heads, after porting, should end up in the neighborhood of $400-$500. Is is worth it? I'll know for sure when I get a dyno graph.
