Need better acceleration

wont be driven in the snow or wont be INTENTIONALLY driven in the snow.
Sucks when you go to work in the morning and the weather is decent but then when you leave something foul has blown in and you have a performance "summer only" tire on that get hard and slick in 40degree weather much less a little snow or water on the road at cold temps.

No they don't do well in the rain. A friend of mine had the Nitto's and he said they were a lot better in the rain than the MT's were. We drove his GTO from FL to TN and through the mountains with the NItto DR's on lol. They lasted about 7000 miles.

Ok it seems like the 555r's are the best. I read another thread on here about drag radials in the rain and it appeared that they were liked by most. I'll probably wait and get them during the spring. Thanks for the help guys!

Now I have another question in relation to acceleration. I have UMI LCA's and when I looked at them, the front seems to actually be lower than the rear or possibly level. Would relocation brackets help with this wheelspin? Would they be worth the money? This is on a stock ride height by the way.

I had this same kind of policy back in high school. Then I let my guard down and spun out on black ice on the freeway. (Lucky break) Get a cheap winter car and stash your f body when average temps dip below 40 in the morning/evening. IMHO

if its your only car id say a nice set of 17x9s with 275/40 all seasons, i think any kind of soft compound tire should be just put on before the track or even at the track, some only last 2000-6000 miles, the 555r may last 15k, for the sake of not only safety but for your wallet. If the tires have good tread i wouldn't go for another set of 16s, just wait for rims and tires.

Any comments about the relocation brackets?
