Default It starts, it runs....but doesn't sound right

So here's the backstory: I took the car apart the first week in July, replaced the lifters, deleted EGR, and deleted AIR. Had a base cal done on the PCM by an experienced LT1 tuner. Finally got it all put back together, and started it up for the first time tonight. Here's the result:

LT1 startup - YouTube

I only let it run for the two minutes because I got scared and shut it off. I figured out this morning that the oil pressure gauge issue was that the wire to the plug got severed somehow:

Any thoughts on the noise issue though? I was pretty confident I did the valve adjustment right, I followed the procedure on shbox.com. Being that the lifters are brand new, does it just take time for oil to get circulated through them?

A friend of mine suggested possibly running the motor at 2500 rpm or so to work the lifters a little harder to get oil working through them...is that a good idea?

oil does need to fill up the lifters, i would run it for a little bit get the lifters to fill then re adjust according to shbox site again see if noise goes away

how long does it generally take for the lifters to get filled up? I only ran it for a minute and a half - 2 minutes last night

More than that, I would run it for about 10 wih low varying RPM's. Then go back and readjust if you still hear noise.

Ok...Like I said before, I got scared last night so I shut it off. I was terrified that everything was destroying itself inside

It takes barely seconds for lifters to pump up. If they had no oil when you first put them in I am wondering if your adjustments are too tight. It almost seems like I am hearing a misfire, but normally your SES light would be flashing. I take it all unnecessary codes were shut off to accommodate what you removed therefore you need to scan the PCM to see what codes are being thrown.

Yeah, the base cal I got should've taken care of the stuff I deleted. Would the sending unit throw a code if it's not getting a signal?

I ran it for about 5 minutes this afternoon and the valvetrain chatter was just too much. I'm going to be gone the rest of the weekend, so I'll take off the valve covers and try the adjustment again next week.

The code was for MAF, which it was doing before I got a base cal done on my PCM and before I took it apart. Apparently cleaning my MAF sensor didn't help.

That would be my best choice of action.
